Apple is expanding Siri AI's language support, with four additional languages set to arrive by the end of 2026. The upcoming additions include Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese, following the release of iOS 27.2, which introduced several new Siri AI features and expanded language availability.
The expansion marks another step in Apple's efforts to make its AI-powered assistant accessible to more users worldwide.
Siri AI Expands to Four More Languages
Before iOS 27.2, Siri AI was available only in English. Apple's latest software update added support for five more languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Apple has now confirmed that four additional languages will be supported by Siri AI by the end of 2026:
●Traditional Chinese
●Norwegian
●Turkish
●Vietnamese
With these additions, Siri AI will support 10 languages in total, including English.
Apple has not confirmed the exact release date for the new languages. However, they could arrive with iOS 27.3, which is expected to launch in December. The first beta version of iOS 27.3 could also be released in the coming week.
Siri AI Still Won't Be Available in Mainland China
Although Traditional Chinese is among the upcoming supported languages, this does not mean Siri AI will immediately launch in mainland China.
According to Bloomberg's reporting, Apple plans to introduce some initial Apple Intelligence features in China with iOS 27.3. However, Siri AI is not expected to be included in that rollout.
As a result, the assistant's regional availability will remain separate from its language support. Users may be able to access Siri AI in Traditional Chinese in supported regions before the feature becomes available in mainland China.
What's Next for Siri AI?
The latest language expansion gives Siri AI a broader international reach and could make Apple's AI features more useful to people who prefer languages other than English.
More details about the rollout are expected as Apple prepares iOS 27.3. For now, the company has confirmed only that the four additional languages will arrive by the end of the year.
