A few weeks back Indian hacker and jailbreak developer, Umang Raghuvanshihad announced plans to release Libertas, a jailbreak tweak that will help you bypass jailbreak detection on your jailbroken iPhone or iPad so that you can use your favorite apps.
The good news is Umang has finally released the beta version of Libretas. According to the developer, it allows you to bypass more than 9 different jailbreak detection techniques. He had also claimed that the tweak works with over 90 apps by bypassing the Electra jailbreak detection.
Based on the initial feedback from users on reddit, it looks like it is not working on most apps that use jailbreak detection so we would recommend waiting for the issues to be resolved. The tweak is still in beta so we hope the developer can fix the issues. Jailbreakers seem to be happy to even give a bounty to developers who can provide a jailbreak detection bypass for specific apps, so there is enough incentive for jailbreak developers to come up with a solution.
Meanwhile, we are still waiting for a jailbreak for iOS 11.4.1. There haven’t been any new developments on that front, probably because of the upcoming release of iOS 12 software update. You can check our iOS 11.4.1 update post to stay tuned on the latest updates.
If you do give it a shot, please let us know if you are able to use apps that employ jailbreak detection techniques after installing Libertas.
