If your virtual camera (such as the one from 3uAirPlayer) shows no video after switching between portrait and landscape on your phone, you can quickly resolve it by restarting the virtual camera. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the virtual camera settings
Using common screen-casting tools like 3uAirPlayer, open the settings panel and locate the Virtual Camera options.
Step 2: Restart the virtual camera
In the Virtual Camera section:
a. Click “Turn Off Virtual Camera.”
b. Wait until it fully stops.
c. Click “Turn On Virtual Camera” to start it again.
This will restart the virtual camera.
Step 3: Check if the video feed returns
Return to your streaming or capture software (such as OBS or other live streaming tools) and check whether the virtual camera feed has returned. If the issue persists, try restarting the capture software and check again.
Why this happens
When the phone switches between portrait and landscape modes, the virtual camera's video rendering may be interrupted, causing the video feed to disappear. Restarting the virtual camera re-establishes the video transmission channel and restores the display.
