The extremely popular and frequently used Filza app has been packaged together, updated, and pushed out into the community with support for non-jailbroken devices running iOS 11.2 through to iOS 11.3.1, in the form of FilzaEscaped.

Where jailbroken devices are concerned, Filza has always proven itself to be extremely popular and one installation that manages to find its way onto a high percentage of those devices.

However, those installations are uniquely related to “Filza” as a standalone app and doesn’t take into account the number of people who are getting the same type of experience from installing the FilzaEscaped app, which doesn’t actually require the user to be in possession of a jailbroken device. When it was first launched, the community was blown away, but it quickly became a common installation, which is why there will be excitement from all corners that a new version is now being offered.

So, what we have here is the same FilzaEscaped experience that non-jailbroken device owners have used and loved, but updated with support for devices running iOS 11.2 through to iOS 11.3.1. It of course gives full root access without any jailbreak being a requirement.

This basically means that the developer has taken the opportunity to integrate the latest exploits into the FilzaEscaped app, which, in turn, means that this latest version offers immediate support for the latest firmware that is supported by the exploits being used to offer the Electra jailbreak experience. It also means that non-jailbroken device owners finally have an app that can be used to view their filesystem without having to go through the process of using Electra or at least without having to re-run Electra if they don’t want to.

With this release, the developer is pushing out two versions of the new FilzaEscaped tool. One version which supports and is intended to be used by those who don’t have access to a developer account, and one which requires a developer account. The former is built using the VFS exploit whereas the latter is built using the multi_path exploit. This is a similar system to how Electra jailbreak itself is built and released for the different use cases.

If you have been missing this app and want to get involved right now, then you can find the two different versions below which will need to be downloaded and sideloaded to your device.
