Apple on Monday released the sixth developer beta for macOS High Sierra 10.13.4, one week after a fifth evaluation version was made available for testing.
The latest High Sierra 10.13.4 beta has a build number of 17E190a, up from last week's 17E182a. Release notes accompanying today's release list only minor changes, most of which involve patches to bugs and other issues uncovered during the testing process.
Apple's High Sierra 10.13.4 beta process started with the company providing warnings to users when they ran 32-bit applications in macOS. Apple has told consumers that High Sierra will be the final version of macOS to include support for 32-bit apps "without compromise," gently urging users to upgrade to 64-bit app versions soon.
The first beta, issued in January, added Messages in iCloud, a feature that synchronizes the Messages "stack" through iCloud with other iOS devices logged into the same iCloud account. The beta also added improvements to the way external graphics card enclosures — eGPUs — are managed in macOS.
The second beta changed the name of the iBooks app to "Books" seemingly mirroring the rebranding and a potential redesign of the iOS version. On iOS at least, the app has since reverted back to iBooks in the latest beta release.
Developers can download macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 beta 6 through the Mac App Store or Apple's developer portal.
