A new Activity Challenge honouring International Women’s Day will take place on February 8th. Achievements include animated stickers that you will be able to share over iMessage.
International Women’s Day has been celebrated on March 8 every year since the early 1900’s. It commemorates the movement for women’s rights. This is a global day for celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
The yet-to-be announced challenge will be available internationally. Users should start to see it appearing on their Watches on March 6th.
To earn the badge users will need to double their move ring on the 8th. This will unlock a bunch of colourful animated Move ring-themed stickers. Internationally, purple is a colour for symbolising women and this colour dominates.
This is how Apple describes the challenge. On March 8, celebrate women around the world and get this award by doubling your Move ring.
Apple has issued a series of challenges over the years. This one comes hot on the heels of the American Heart Month challenge, a federally designated event to educate on the importance of cardiovascular health. That challenge required users to close their watch’s green exercise ring for seven days in a row between February 8th and 14th.
