The A17 Pro in iPhone 15 Pro is being promoted as a gaming powerhouse in Apple's latest ad.
Apple's advertisements for the iPhone 15 Pro have been short clips focused on single features. The latest 30 second clip is all about A17 Pro.
The ad is incredibly short and lacks much detail about the chip or its capabilities, but it is an interesting visual. A person playing Genshin Impact on the couch is launched through their ceiling into the air, then lands in a subway car without ever looking away from the game.
It's certainly an eye-catching ad likely designed for the short attention span of web video. View the full ad below.
The A17 Pro is Apple's first chipset built with the 3nm process. It has a 20% faster GPU than the A16 and is capable of hardware ray tracing in games.
Apple's tagline for the video reads, "the A17 Pro chip on iPhone 15 Pro is a game changer. Literally."
An Apple Event being held on Monday, October 30 at 8 p.m. EST could have a gaming angle. The first games taking advantage of hardware ray tracing are launching that day, plus rumors suggest the M3 processor could also be announced, which would also have hardware ray tracing.
