Apple Updates Leadership Page to Include its Two Latest VPs

Apple has updated its Leadership page to include its two newest Vice Presidents, both of whom have now started in their new roles at the company.

Deirdre O’Brien is listed as Apple’s VP of People, while Isabel Ge Mahe is Apple’s Managing Director of Greater China. Check out more details concerning the new VPs below.

Isabel Ge Mahe

A new recruit to help with Apple’s continued expansion in Greater China, Ge Mahe is in a crucially important position in the company. She will report to both COO Jeff Williams and CEO Tim Cook, the latter of whom has been outspoken about his belief that China represents Apple’s future biggest market.

Despite this, Apple has run into a number of problems in the country, while also recently experiencing declining demand for its iPhones. Ge Mahe has been at Apple since 2008, where she previously occupied the role of VP of Wireless Technologies. In addition, she worked on developing China-specific features for iPhone and iPad.

Before this, she served as VP of Wireless Software Engineering at Palm, and held key technical and managerial positions at other wireless companies. In her new role as Managing Director of Greater China, she will provide leadership and coordination across Apple’s China-based team.

Deirdre O’Brien

An Apple veteran, O’Brien has worked at the company since 1988, making her one of the company’s longest-serving employees. In her new role, she will report directly to Tim Cook as VP of People.

This role involves leading all HR functions including talent development and analytics, recruiting, benefits, as well as compensation and business support. In addition, she will oversee Apple’s training service Apple University.

Prior to taking on this latest role, O’Brien was in charge of the Worldwide Sales and Operations Support team responsible for demand forecasting, supply planning and delivery of Apple products to customers.
