Many people in the recent months (present company included) have had their doubts about Apple's ability to produce the iPhone 8 in time for its traditional mid-September launch window. And this has all to do with the tons of sketchy analyst predictions that have been flying around recently, such as this one from Bank of America, or this other one from Morgan Stanley (which directly contradicts its own words from just a month earlier).

But while limited device supplies still aren't completely out of the question, the chances of Apple delaying what will probably be the biggest iPhone launch since the original one ten years ago are — to put it mildly — slim.

And according to the generally reliable leakster @OnLeaks, mass production of the devicehas already started:

iPhone 8 Mass Production has Reportedly Started

What this means is that the iPhone 8 is right on track for a September release. And if unsourced claims such as this one aren't really your thing, let Apple's own forecasts do the talking instead: the company is expecting to see a record 12% sequential growth the next quarter, which "effectively impl[ies] no iPhone launch delay."

Also, as OnLeaks himself says, this means we might finally start getting more reliable leaks soon: mass production gives a ton more opportunities for potential leakers to sneak in a picture or two, even if Apple is doing its best to stop said leaks.
