Adobe is working on a brand new Photoshop app that will bring its most powerful editing tools to iPad. It will make its debut sometime this year, but a lucky few will get the chance to test it early.

Adobe Invites iPad Users to Beta Test ‘Real Photoshop’ App

Creative Cloud subscribers can now sign up for a chance to get access to the beta.

Adobe already offers a Photoshop app for iOS, but it’s far from the real thing. Its new Photoshop app promises to bring “real Photoshop” to iOS, with all the tools professional users rely on.

That includes support for layers, masks, filters, and lots more. It will also sync PSD files with Photoshop on your desktop, negating the need to import, export, or convert anything.

The new Photoshop app is scheduled to launch in 2019. Adobe is yet to provide us with a more specific release date, but it is giving some users the chance to enjoy early access.

Sign up for the Photoshop for iPad beta

Some Creative Cloud subscribers have received invitations to sign up for the Photoshop for iPad beta. They must submit their details using Google Forms, then wait to see if they’ve been picked.

If you didn’t get an invite but you are a Creative Cloud subscriber, you can follow the link above and submit a request anyway. You may still be in with a chance of getting an invite.

Of course, beta spaces will be limited, so you aren’t guaranteed early access just because you completed the form. There’s no telling exactly how many people will be invited to join the test.

previewed its new Photoshop for iPad during Apple’s big iPad Pro event last October. You can see it in action in the keynote video below. Adobe’s demonstration starts at 1 hour, 5 minutes in.

As soon as Adobe provides us with a release date for the new Photoshop for iPad, we’ll be sure to let you know.
