Alleged dummy units of the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone in three different colors have leaked online. The photos show off the budget LCD iPhone in three new colors: dark red, white, and a dark shade of blue.
Previously leaked dummy units of the 6.1-inch iPhone primarily showed off the device in white color. Today’s pictures, however, give us a glimpse at how Apple’s upcoming LCD iPhone will look like in red and dark blue colors. Reputed analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple is planning on launching the LCD iPhone in red, blue, and orange colors. This will be in addition to the standard white and black colors.
The final photo in the gallery shows the LCD iPhone in a rose gold finish, though it can possibly just be the white variant of the device as well which is looking pinkish due to the way light is reflected.
Again, since the photos are of a dummy unit, it is better to take them with a pinch of salt. There are rumors of Apple launching the budget iPhone in a bunch of colors to attract a younger set of customers in China and other Asian markets.
Apple will also be launching the 5.8-inch iPhone XS and the 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max alongside the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone. They will also be available in three colors: Space Grey, Silver, and Gold. The addition of gold will be new to the lineup since Apple already offers the iPhone X in Space Grey and Silver colors.
The LCD iPhone will feature a 6.1-inch display with slightly larger bezels than its OLED siblings. It will also feature Face ID, though it will only come with a single camera set up at the rear and 3GB RAM to keep its price in check.
