Recenltly a new team was planning to release Installer 5, an alternative for Cydia, an App Store for jailbreak apps and tweaks for iOS 11 and iOS 10.
The Installer Team has shared screenshots and a teaser video of Installer 5. They have shared the screenshots of the Featured, Install and Update tabs. It looks quite similar to the iOS 11 App Store, with the Featured tab showcasing the Featured app, and Popular tools. The Install tab showcases the different category of jailbreak apps and tweaks such as Tweaks, Themes, Tools, Apps, Games etc. The Update tab displays the tweaks that can be updated just like the App Store and also displays the release notes.
The 8-second teaser video gives a glimpse of the user interface and navigation.

Installer or Installer.app with the blue icon was the first app store or package manager for jailbreak apps and tweaks even before Cydia, and Apple’s App Store. The UI has been completely redesigned and would certainly be a welcome change for jailbreakers who have been using Cydia, which hasn’t changed a lot in terms of UI.
However, it is going to be challenging for the Installer team to convince jailbreakers to switch to Installer 5 from Cydia, as people who have already purchased the jailbreak apps and tweaks on Cydia would not want to purchase them again on Installer 5. saurik also has an impeccable track record of updating Cydia for new jailbreaks, so people would be more comfortable spending on tweaks on Cydia, as they know that they will be able to reinstall them for future jailbreaks. But it is always good to have an alternative for Cydia, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
