Does the notch on your new iPhone X stress you out? A new app can help restore peace in your life.

Dubbed Notcho, the app will let you create wallpapers for your iPhone X$999.00 at Verizon Wireless that hide that anxiety-provoking notch. You can import your own photos or images, or choose from a selection or wallpapers that ship with the app.

There's one big caveat, though: Notcho can only hide the notch on your home and/or lock screens, not inside apps.

Notcho App Hides iPhone X Notch

"It is not possible to hide the notch while running apps," Notcho's developers explain in the app's description. As we noted in our iPhone X review, however, some apps, like the popular game Riptide GP Renegades, letterbox their content to 16:9, hiding the notch.

Notcho is free to download, but any apps you create using the app will have a watermark, which "can be removed with a one-time in-app purchase," Notcho's description reads. It's safe to say that if you're offended by the iPhone X notch, you're probably not going to want a watermark on your wallpaper.

The iPhone X notch, for the uninitiated, accommodates the handset's front camera, eating a chunk out of the screen at the top. When reviewing the iPhone X, PCMag's lead mobile analyst Sascha Segan found it "less of a problem than the area at the bottom [of the screen], where apps like Citymapper and SmartNews have their content collide with the horizontal bar that indicates you're supposed to flick up to go home."

Meanwhile, if you do own the iPhone X, do your best to avoid dropping it. Videos of various iPhone X drop-tests have been hitting the web since the new smartphone went on sale last week, and to no one's surprise, the phone will take a beating when dropped on a hard concrete surface. According to SquareTrade, which sells smartphone protection plans, iPhone X is Apple's most breakable iPhone to date.
