Someone lucky enough to have the Apple iPhone X in his possession a little less than a month before the phone will be launched, captured 9 seconds of the device in action and posted it on Reddit. The beginning of the video shows live wallpaper on the handset, with red bubbles of various sizes floating through a black background that makes good use of the OLED screen's ability to produce a richer, deeper black than seen on an LCD display.
The video, as brief as it is, shows the notch on top of the edge-to-edge screen (although it blends in so well with the black background of the wallpaper that you have to strain your eyes to see it). On back is the vertically mounted dual-camera setup.
Despite reports of low production yields under 10%, and talk about issues producing the TrueDepth 3D sensing camera, so far Apple has not changed the November 3rd launch date. Nor has the tech titan pushed back the date when pre-orders are scheduled to begin, which is October 27th. The 64GB version of the tenth anniversary model will cost $999 while the 256GB variant will carry a $1,149 price tag.
